YOUTH PARLIAMENT

This programme has been promoted by the Assembly of the Republic (Portuguese Parliament) since 2006. Its main aims are to make itself known, to educate for citizenship, to promote democratic debate, and to provide 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic education and secondary education students with an experience of participation in electoral processes. The initiative comprises several phases that take place throughout the school year, culminating with two National Sessions at the Portuguese Parliament.
