“CRITICAL EAR”, MILOBS ON ANTENA 1

Since February, MILObs has partnered with Antena 1 to produce the first Media Education radio programme in Portugal. Every week, on Wednesdays, a little after three, “Critical Ear” goes on the air and, for a few minutes, the media themselves – and the messages they transmit – are in the spotlight.

The program, written by Manuel Pinto, Sara Pereira, and Joana Fillol, with Tiago Alves as moderator, has already addressed various issues and has had some studio guests (Cristina Ponte, Pedro Portela, Sérgio Gomes da Silva). In the six programmes broadcast thus far- which can be heard here- issues covered included television programmes(Supernanny), films (The Post), projects (Transmedia Literacy), initiatives (7 Days with the Media), and issues pertaining to Sound Literacy or to children’s relationship with the screens.
