UNESCO PUBLISHES THE DOCUMENT “MEDIA EDUCATION. A KIT FOR TEACHERS, STUDENTS, PARENTS AND PROFESSIONALS “IN WHICH IT PROPOSES A DISTINCTION BETWEEN MEDIA LITERACY AND MEDIA EDUCATION”
2006The document “Media Education. A Kit for Teachers, Students, Parents and Professionals”, published by UNESCO, seeks to launch the debate on the importance of media in society, while providing guidelines to introduce Media Education in the school curriculum.
Furthermore, the document proposes a distinction between Media Education (learning process) and Media Literacy (learning outcomes).
